Is K2 part of the Himalayas?
K2 is not a part of the Himalayan ranges at all. Instead, it is located in a mountain range known as the Karakoram range in Kashmir.
The Karakoram range is different from the Himalayan ranges. The Himalayas ranges are losing their mass in very rapid and major ways. However, this is not the case for the Karakoram range.
